A couple of weekends ago, we were invited to go to Clear Lake with our neighbors (Pat, Deanna, Andrew and Carson). We loaded up the truck, hooked up the boat and were on our way. The drive was only 1.5 hours so it went by quick. When we arrived in town, we were all starving so we stopped and had dinner at The Other Place. After dinner, we headed to Deanna's dads house where we would be staying. It was gorgeous!!! Reminded me a lot of our lake house. The kids wanted to play and before we knew it, it was almost 11:30. Maya and Carson (who is 8) decided they were going to have a slumber party in one of the bedrooms - in separate beds of course. They lasted till about 3am and then they came and found their parents.
Saturday morning we woke up and looked outside. It was overcast and supposed to stay that way the remainder of the day. We had originally only planned till stay till later Saturday afternoon, however, we called and asked our neighbor if he would watch the dogs for us so we could stay and enjoy the wonderful weather on Sunday. After a little convincing, he said yes. The rest of the day Saturday, we just hung out in the house - played pool, watched some TV and just relaxed.
Sunday morning we woke up, took the boat to church (which was awesome) and then played on the water all day. Maya thought she wanted to tube but as you can see in the top picture below, it is just boys. Maybe next time. Overall, it was a great trip and we had a blast!
