Quick recap of the past 3 weeks: I traveled for work for 4 days at the beginning of December and that meant that Scott and Maya were on their own - well sort of that is. Our wonderful neighbors, the White's, helped out with Maya when Scott was still at work or digging out from the 1.5 feet of snow we got while I was away. Maya said she had a great time playing with Cam, Jason and Lexie and of course Matt and Kim. The 1.5 feet of snow is still on the ground and doesn't seem to want to go anywhere - anyone want to take some?? Please?? OK fine we will keep it till Christmas and then it can all magically disappear. We have had fun taking Maya sledding (or I should say Scott has taken her sledding). They tried to build a snowman the other day, however, the snow is to light and fluffy. Maybe the next snow storm we will be able to...wait that is coming this week!! YIKES......
Christmas is only 4 days away and the Sprenkel family is some what ready :) All the decorations are up, Christmas Eve and Day will be filled with family, food, gifts and most importantly great memories, but some minor details still need to get ironed out. Am I the only one that is needing more time?? I still need to finalize some gifts for family members but am patiently waiting on the mail to deliver them to me...we will see if they come before we leave for Arizona.
Ah yes...our trip to Arizona is another thing. We are SO EXCITED to get out of our snow covered world called Iowa and see some sunshine. Going on the adventure to AZ with us will be Niki, Ajdin (Niki's boyfriend), Mom, Paul and Paul's two kids. We will be staying at the Kierland Resort in Scottsdale. We stayed in the villas last time, however, we are trying out the hotel this year. There is a water park, including a lazy river, at the hotel so now we just need a little bit of sunshine and you know where you will find the Sprenkel's!!! We don't really have anything in particular planned but a girls trip to the spa sounds great :)
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
