Long time no post I know so I will update everyone on the happenings of the Sprenkel family for the past two months. Maya has been doing great in her bunk beds (thanks again great-grandma) and loves her new Hello Kitty room. Niki and I did the painting while daddy and Maya stuck on the stickers. We also have a new bedtime routine now that she is in a big bed that both Mommy and Daddy, along with Maya can snuggle in. Each night we all go upstairs and read a book and then say our prayers. Then either mommy or daddy stay a few extra minutes and snuggle with the monkey. It is very special time and she seems to really enjoy it - especially when daddy falls asleep with her :)
Maya also has been oh so patiently waiting for her birthday to come as she knew that after it she got to move to Becca's room at school. She loved Miss Brandi's class but was ready to be with the big kids. Yesterday was her first day in Becca's room and she did great! She has lots of friends in there so that helps too. Can't wait to hear about what fun things she does now that she is in "the big kids room" :)
This past weekend we celebrated Maya's 3rd birthday!!! I can't believe it has already been 3 years since God gave us this amazing little girl. Boy has the time flown by. For her party we invited some friends over and they played like crazy all over the house. We couldn't do anything outside because well it is winter in Iowa and we have an enormous amount of snow on the ground. Instead I baked a ton of sugar cookies and let the kids decorate them. It was a blast to watch!! Thanks again to everyone who helped make Maya's 3rd birthday extra special - she had a great time and is still talking about how her and all the kids ran around like crazy!
