A lot has been going on in the Sprenkel household since the last entry. First off - we went to California!! We were gone from July 1-5 and had a WONDERFUL time!!! Maya did great on the flight (as usual) and was super excited to see her Auntie Melissa and GiGi at the airport. We then went to dinner and saw PaPa and life was good. Over the next few days, we had play dates with Grandma and Shannon at the park, Uncle Bobby & Aunt Stacey for lunch, and then a ton of family members for a party at Bob & Jill's house. It had been almost a year and a half since we had seen some of the family so there was lots to catch up - so great to see everyone! Special thanks to Bob and Jill for letting us take over their house for a few days and to Melissa for planning the birthday cake surprise.
Maya update - while in California, Maya figured out that she is able to swim by herself with just a life jacket on. She had tried this before, but really got the hang of it while we were out there. Daddy, Melissa, and Maya would swim out to the middle of the bay and back and she wouldn't let anyone help her. We couldn't be more proud of her.
Baby Girl #2 update - I had my 28 week appointment last week and all continues to look good. I had to do the gestational diabetes test and am hoping to hear no news from the doctor's office this week (no news is good news). Keep those fingers crossed. I gained another 3.5lbs so I am up 10.5 from where I started. BP is still good and heartbeat was right around 150 bpm. Baby girl continues to be very low and loves to roll versus kick and punch.
We also did another 3D/4D ultrasound the weekend before we went to California. Great grandma Feaster came with us and it was quite the treat for her. She had never seen an ultrasound in general so she was in total amazement!!! All measurements looked great so that was wonderful to hear. She is just like her big sister and when she was done getting looked at, she put both hands and feet in her face :)
