What a great weekend the Sprenkel family had!! I had lunch with an old high school friend, Danielle, that I have not seen in 9+ years!! It was great to catch up and share stories from the past year. We both have been through a lot, however, I think we would both agree we are much stronger now. Maya played in her pool and with the neighborhood kids on Friday night. She loves just sitting and watching the boys wrestle or have a water fight but doesn't get too close because she doesn't like to be splashed.
Daddy had to work on Saturday, so mommy and Maya went to the park for awhile and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. That night, Maya attended her first dance recital - front row seats. One of our close friends (Ronnie) produced and danced in the show and Maya absolutely loved it!! She sat mesmerized by all the dances, the music and just the show in general. She was dancing in her seat the whole time - guess we will be signing up for dance classes when she turns 3. It was a late night for Maya, but she was a trooper and stayed awake the whole time.

On Sunday we took the boat out with some friends. The DNR was advising people to not launch, however, we still did :) It was really winding and the water was rough and choppy, however, we still had a great time. Danny, Jordan, Ronnie and Laney all went tubing and had a blast. Then we beached the boat for a couple hours and just hung out. It was so nice out, despite the pelting sand, and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
