Maya has finally decided that she is ready to give this potty training thing a real shot. She has gone in the potty here and there over the past few months, however, now she has the full excitement and interest to really learn. So our days are now filled with:
Day 1 - Monday Sept 14. Maya wore a diaper to school and took the pull ups with her. Ms. Brandy said that Maya quickly insisted that she have a pull up on. Maya joined the other little girls (that are potty trained) on the adventures to the potty, however, would just sit there and not go. So needless to say - not a huge success at school. However, she did go in and try so that is good. I picked her up from school and she told me she had to go so we did before we left school. Success at school!! We got home and throughout the night we went in the potty lots and only had an accident once. Overall, I think we are off to a great start.
Day 2 - Tuesday Sept 15. Maya woke up this morning with a dry diaper (yes she actually let me put it on for bed) and went into the bathroom and went like a big girl. Mommy and Daddy were so proud. She wore her pull up today to school. No diapers for this BIG girl. When she got to school, she walked in and told Ms. Brandy she had to go potty so that was hopefully a good sign for the rest of the day.
I am sure this wont be an easy transition from diapers to pull up to underwear, but hopefully it doesnt take too long :) If anyone has any tips, please feel free to leave them as I am truely a rookie at this one. :)
