Ozarks for Labor Day!!

This past weekend Scott, Maya, myself headed to the Ozarks with our friends Roni and Jordan late on Friday night. We arrived around midnight and my mom & Paul were still awake waiting for arrival. Like always, everyone (except me) had a drink while I put Maya to bed. The next morning we woke up around 730 and were ready to enjoy the nice weather - however it was cloudy and raining outside. Luckily the clouds broke around 11 and we were able to enjoy the pool. Maya was a great swimmer and absolutely loves the water. We took an adventure over to Frankie and Louie's restaurant later in the afternoon for a drink and then returned for dinner. A few people didn't make it to dinner as they were "sleeping" but overall it was a great fun day :)
We woke up early on Sunday again only to find that the clouds were out again. We needed to take the Sea Doo's around the lake so they could be winterized/fixed so Jordan, Roni, Scott and myself all jumped on. It was about an hour ride and my legs are still reminding me of it today!! OUCH!!! It was a blast though and great to spend some time just Scott and I. After our ride, we came back and played inside, swam, and then headed out on the water for dinner. We went to Backwater Jacks for dinner. Every time we are at the lake, we either have to go there by boat or by water so Scott can have the fried potato salad - he loves it sooo much!!! Everyone else did too :) More drinks and fun at dinner and then the boat ride home.
Overall, our weekend was great. We got to spend time with family & friends, have fun in the sun and just relax. A much needed vacation for everyone and one that we will remember for awhile.

We headed home yesterday only to find that our wake board had been 'stolen' from the tower on our boat in the driveway. We were upset, however, couldn't really do anything about it since it was our fault we left it there. HOWEVER, when we woke up this morning, our wake board was in our front lawn - yes you read that right - someone 'borrowed' it and returned it sometime in the night. How nice of them huh??!! At least we got it back :)
